Many of our pieces are one of a kind, made to order or personalised, so return and exchange terms are agreed for each purchase and shared with you before you pay.

Product Care

Silver jewellery

  • Keep it in the anti-tarnish pouch we give you, away from water.
  • Wipe it with the polishing cloth after wearing to keep it shiny.
  • Put on perfume, cream and hairspray first, then your jewellery.
  • Ask at any of our boutiques about professional polishing.

Gold and gemstone jewellery

  • Store each piece separately in its pouch. Some stones are softer than others.
  • Keep it away from chemicals, pool water and very hot or cold places.
  • Clean gently with a soft brush and lukewarm water.
  • Keep any certificate that comes with your piece in a safe place.

Paintings

  • Hang it away from direct sunlight and damp walls.
  • Dust it with a dry, soft brush. Never use water or cleaning sprays.
  • When it travels, ask us about protective packing.
  • Use hanging hardware rated for the painting’s weight.

Pashmina, cashmere and fine fabrics

  • Dry clean only, unless the care label says otherwise.
  • Store folded in a breathable cotton bag, away from direct sunlight.
  • Air it from time to time, and keep a natural moth repellent such as cedar or neem leaves nearby.
  • Put on jewellery and perfume before draping, so nothing snags the fibres.

Carpets and rugs

  • Vacuum gently, without a rotating brush.
  • Turn the carpet every six months so it wears evenly.
  • Blot spills straight away; never rub.
  • Have it cleaned by a specialist when it needs a deep clean.

Brass, bronze and silver artefacts

  • Dust with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Avoid harsh cleaners; use a polish made for that metal if needed.
  • Keep away from damp to slow tarnishing.

Wood, marble and stone

  • Dust with a soft cloth; keep water away from unsealed wood.
  • Wipe marble with a soft, damp cloth and dry it; avoid acidic cleaners.
  • Handle inlaid pieces gently and keep them away from direct heat.
